Overview

English for SPM also referred to as the (GCE Cambridge ‘O’ level) has three papers, two written and one oral. In this course students will learn how to apply the proper techniques and obtain the necessary linguistic skills to ace this exam.

Form 3 (PT3)

Overview

The aim of learning English in Form 3 is to continue providing students with an integrated focus on grammar and varied & continued practice of the four skills (listening, speaking, reading and writing) and Literature study. This syllabus sets out the themes, language skills, grammar, language functions and vocabulary suitable for this age group.

Learning Objective

Emphasise the importance of sustaining the use of the English language within and beyond the classroom which will be reflected within the four main themes according to the current textbook and literature books with accordance to the Ministry of Educations requirement.

  1. Higher Order Thinking Skills (HOTS) learn new structures, language functions and vocabulary
